Eternal Red

Eternal Red is not like your ordinary tower defense game. It's a mix between action and tower defence. You get to buy your character (Eternal Red?) guns. Although I'm not a fan of action/shooting games on flash, this is the exception. This game is highly addictive with decent graphics, and background music, sound effects are a bit boring though.

Eternal Red Guide and Tips

Controls

A - Move left
D - Move right
W - Jump
R - Reload weapon (if you bought one)
E - Select among your weanpons and remote
P - Pause game and enter menu

All of these can be reconfigured in the Eternal Red ingame options.

When you start the game, setup your weapons by clicking on the hooks or floor panels while you have your remote selected. You can also click on yourself while you have the remote, this will bring up the option to buy a weapon or three. I suggest getting one for the early levels, especially for the boss.

A boss is spawned every 10 levels, they are though to kill and you probably will let the first boss get by your defenses, which is why I recommend getting a weapon to finish him off when he gets past your turrets or spikes.

Also, I advice against getting floor panels that aren't used to slow enemies. Later levels there will be tons of flying enemies, and those spikes will not help you. The acid, be it floor panel or gun, I find useless (especially in smaller maps). The best combination that has worked for me is I start off with a machinegun on top of a slowing panel. I upgrade the machine gun primarily, then the panel. These two plus a gun will be enough for the first boss.

Your first priority should be to get the machine gun highly upgraded, then go for a grenade launcher just behind the machine gun, so it can reach the slow panel (that is under the machine gun) At level 20, you won't even need your handgun, shotgun, or rifle, the mounted sentry guns will take care of the boss easily. Once your machine gun is at level 8 rate of fire and level 5 damage, nothing will get past it. Your next step is to get a cash gun.

Cash guns make money per shot(based on the level of their damage). At max damage, they give you $10 per shot fired! Also, killing creeps quickly will get you full bounty, the further down the map they walk, the lower they are worth(which is why I think acid weapons are next to useless).

Useless weapons/Panels

Acid weapons and panels. They just suck, especially for small maps. All floor panels should be slow, or if you have to, a spike or two. Rather have a highly upgraded cash/machinegun tearing up the mobs though. Spikes are useless against flying. Maybe in hardcore mode acid is useful, never played hardcore.

For weapons, I think all of them are useless late game(in casual mode). Early game though, it is highly useful to maintain your perfect 50 lives. There will be some stragglers, and the first boss is a bitch to kill with just mounted defences.

Got a good strategy for Eternal Red? Let us know in the comments.

Hardcore mode is actually easier.

Just upgrade the machine gun all the way, you can kill the first boss with just that.

FYI, Cash guns SUCK. They are not accurate 1 bit.
